A typical high school student living in a small town, Shin Makimura leads an unremarkable life with his classmates Chiaki and Sekai. However, his mundane daily routine begins to unravel after the sudden disappearance of his father. Memories Shin shouldn't have resurface. Shadows of intrigue move in the background, targeting Shin.
One day, Shin is saved from a sudden attack by a mysterious girl named Kafu, who claims to have come from the future.
"I'm from the future," she says.
"I need your help to find my companions—Rime and Makoto."
Shin reluctantly teams up with Kafu to search for the two, but deadly assassins known as the "Trumps" hinder their journey.
The source of Kafu's extraordinary powers, as well as those of the Trumps and Rime, lies in the future they are trying to change.
The world begins to collapse.
